  • Dr. Randy Lin, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Algoma University, is a distinguished researcher focusing on transformative solutions in healthcare system resilience, public health, and adaptive user interfaces, demonstrating his commitment to advancing societal well-being.

    Collaborating with institutions such as Temple University and Fraser Health Authority, Dr. Lin has led groundbreaking initiatives in digital twins, healthcare monitoring, and resource allocation models. With a focus on accessibility, Dr. Lin integrates AI and adaptive technologies to create tools that enhance inclusivity, including advanced systems for individuals with disabilities. His innovative work bridges academia and real-world applications, addressing critical challenges in public health and accessibility.

    Beyond research, Dr. Lin is a dedicated mentor, guiding undergraduate students on projects spanning medical data simulation, adaptive web interfaces, and healthcare equity.

Meet the Collaborators

  • Title- Sociology Instructor | Department of Humanities and Social Sciences


    Bio- Dr. Chai teaches Sociology at Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP), focusing on Introductory Sociology, Social Stratification, Race and Ethnicity in Canada, and Visual Sociology. He regularly engages students in experiential learning through community-based research and service learning. He has completed research in partnership with local immigrant settlement service provider organizations and funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Mitacs, and various community grants. His research has been published in the Journal of International Migration and Integration, Canadian Ethnic Studies, Journal of Visual Literacy, Asian Journal of Social Sciences, and Social Sciences.

    Honors- Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2023, the RDP Award of Excellence in 2018, and several RDP Faculty Scholarship Recognition Awards.

    Bio- After completing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Luo pursued postdoctoral research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, gaining extensive experience collaborating with clinicians and oncologists. His expertise lies in bioinformatics, computational biology, and machine learning, with a focus on developing advanced algorithms to integrate multi-omics data for early disease diagnosis and precision medicine.
